Worlf of Warcraft Hunter Pet Guide. Tips on Selecting and Controlling creatures in WoW
The hunter is one of the 2 pet classes in World of Warcraft. While some hunters play their class as a melee character with a pet, this is not the correct way to play the class. The Hunter’s pet is their to assist the hunter and keep the mobs busy while the hunter launches his powerful ranged attacks.
The type of pet a hunter uses to level up does not matter until he reaches higher levels in the game. Hunter pets fall into 3 categories: High damage pets, pets with high armor class, and pets that are balanced between high armor class and damage. All pets of the same creature type will share the same basic stats, but which pet the hunter uses will depend on the strategy the hunter wishes to employ when soloing or grouping.
High Damage Hunter Pets
World of Warcraft Hunters who wish to have their pet doing a lot of damage should consider a pet with a high damage rating. The high damage pets have slightly higher attack bonuses, but lower armor class and hit points. Some pet abilities and the beast mastery talent tree may make the high damage pets more suitable for tanking, but these same tree will also increase the damage of the pet.
If the hunter wishes to take mobs down more quickly in the World of Warcraft a high damage pet may be the way to go.

High Health Hunter Pets
High health hunter pets in the World of Warcraft are intended to be used to tank. If a hunter has a high damage weapon or if the pet is not capable of holding aggro while the hunter solos, a player should switch to one of the other pet types. Should the player gain the mob’s attention, hunters have several tools for reducing aggro, feign death and disengage.

Well Rounded Hunter pets in the World of Warcraft are designed to fill the 2 roles mentioned previously. The stats of the well rounded pets are not designed to give the creature an advantage in any specific area. The mend pet ability can be used to make up for the lack of additional hit points possessed by the high health pets.

Using the Hunters’ Pets in the World of Warcraft
For leveling, almost any pet will do and the major difference comes in the end game with the trained abilities of each pet. Knowing the trainable abilities of the well-rounded pets will help a hunter pick out a creature that fits his particular play style. Boars are popular in the high level game, but for leveling purposes, the difference between each pet type is minor.
When this article was originally written, hunters were not able to tame many elite or exotic pets. With the upcoming release of Wrath of the Lich King, the pets available to hunters have changed. World of Warcraft hunter playes should know that generally, the elite pets follow these rules, and the WotLK expansion introduced exotic pets.

The important addition that came with Wrath of the Lich King was the ability of hunters to tame epic pets, which further increased the damage per second a hunter pet can do. Many people think that it is impossible to train cat. However, it is possible in fact. There are some basic tips to fix the madness safely and easily.
Cat obedience is very important. To have less stress in your life with a kitty that doesn’t meow constantly, jump on the counters, scratch up all your furniture, or use the carpet instead of their litter box, cat pet training is a must!

Well, it will actually make you two closer, and understand each other better. Your kitty will want to please you and make you happy. It may be only because they want treats instead of being scolded, but either way, you both win.

Tip #1
-Treats! Always use treats when your little friend does something good.
You absolutely have to have treats when teaching tricks or your kitty will never be interested. They think they are just way to cool for that.
Tip #2
-Patience. Just like with any animal, you must be very patient when training your cat.
Tip #3
-Practice makes perfect! To not overwhelm, try sticking with just 10 to 15 minutes, once or twice a day. Felines can be easily side tracked and even if you try to train them for longer, it wont work. Trust me 
Tip #4
-Persistence. Try training your cat as often as possible. If you can I would try to do it every day. The more you practice they gets, the faster they will learn.
Tip #5
-Spray bottle. This technique works great for me. I have taught my fur balls to not jump on the kitchen table, climb the curtains, or scratch my couches by catching them in the act and spraying them with my spray bottle. Remember to have the bottle on the straight stream and only spray them when you catch them in the act, or they will not know what then did wrong.
Tip #6
Make sure to always have toys for your kitty to play with and something to scratch on. A scratch post will always work but i personally think that they like cat trees so they can be up tall. Remember to show them what it is for and they will be less likely to use your furniture.

You must keep a sharp eyes on them though because they are sneaky sneaky.
Next, the tricks! There are 26 different tricks covered in the book. They are split into basic tricks and tricky tricks. There are pictures to look at if you get confused and it also gives you a list of tools to use to make cat pet training a heck of alot easier.
But that is not all! Yes there is more if you can believe it. There also is a section on toilet training so you can finally throw out that nasty litter box. Then there is the leash training section. I think this section is perfect for people who have an indoor pet. To take them for walks outside is completely different but would be a pretty interesting adventure to share.

Guide Dogs for the Blind – be a puppy walker and change your life!
My sister Linda is a puppy walker for Guide Dogs for the Blind in the UK and since starting this challenge some 10 years ago she has helped change ten ordinary dogs into wonderful caring dogs to aid people with either partial sight or no sight at all. All the dogs in her care were very different not only in breed but in character. She has nurtured and cared for Labradors, retrievers, german shepherds and even a spinoni which by all accounts is a star and about to be placed with his owner.
I still don’t know how Linda actually got started in her “career” but I only know she has made it her life and loves every minute of it. Obviously it is very time consuming especially at the beginning when she takes delivery of a 10 week old puppy who feels lonely and frightened being suddenly taken away from its mother but Linda also has her own Labrador pet who ably takes the place of the puppy’s mother until it gets used to its new surroundings.
Linda was only going to do it once she said because it did upset her when the puppy left to start its new life as a guide dog but then she received a letter from the new owner with a photograph of him with the dog and as she said it made it all worthwhile and so when the Association asked if she would like to take another one she said yes immediately.
Most of her work is getting the puppy used to everyday life. She is able to take her into supermarkets and places where normal dogs cannot go as long as she has the guide dog puppy training leash on and she also takes the dog on trains, buses, airports and anywhere and everywhere any blind person would have to go in his/her day to day life. In fact one of her dogs, a German Shepherd, definitely has the high life because he has been placed with a very high powered businessman who takes him all over the world with him. Linda says it is so nice that she knows how all “her” dogs are progressing and where they are and what they are doing.
Linda trains the dogs socially, general care when crossing a road and being able to interact with other dogs. To this end she normally takes the puppies to dog training classes within her area. The puppies normally stay with her for just under a year and then they are taken to the Association’s training centre where they get the full proper training to be a guide dog. From there they are matched with a blind or partially blind person and the person is also trained with the dog until they feel happy for the dog to actually go and live with its new owner.
All the work Linda does is purely voluntary. She just gets paid for the puppy’s food and vets bills. She has, however, roped in her husband to assist from time to time in fund raising and my mother also helps on local stalls in the area merchandise donated to make money for the Association. I live in Spain but no doubt if I was living nearer I would assist also.
There is only one dog Linda had who did not actually make the grade and that is a black Labrador/retreiver girl called Kay. She went through her paces at the training centre and passed with flying colours and was put with a lady who was blind. The lady adored her and they got on really well. Unfortunately for some unknown reason Kay suddenly took a dislike to all butchers shops and would not go past one but would just cringe and back away. Obviously that was no good to the blind lady in question and it was decided Kay would not be able to continue to be a guide dog. When this sort of thing happens, which does from time to time, the Association always contacts the volunteer who brought up the dog initially to see if they would like to take the dog as a pet. They therefore contacted Linda who said she would love to have Kay back and she was therefore given to her. When I go and visit I take Kay out every day for a walk. She is an absolute delight. She does not pull on the lead, she looks up at me all the time as if to say she is there to assist and guide me and even when I let her off the lead to have a run through the fields she will not leave my side. She is very sensitive and loving.
If you like animals and have the time to spare puppy walking for the Guide Dogs for the Blind it is a very worthwhile thing to do. You need patience, time to take them out and about and a strong will to allow them to leave you when the time comes but as Linda says she loves every minute of it and will continue to puppy walk for many years to come.
I believe quite a few countries do provide this form of voluntary work and no doubt the Association could guide you to the right direction.
